BRASSERIE {C} offers an original combination of tradition and innovation which is specific to the youth of its founders. The quality and traceability of the ingredients are a priority, in particular the barley and water from the Hesbaye plateau.
Curtius is a beer that can be drunk as an aperitif or enjoyed by connoisseurs and gourmets, a premium beer popular with the great chefs for matching with food.
Created in 2012, the micro brewery was built around Curtius beer, which was its first creation, and is now well established on the domestic market. Curtius is a blonde beer triple brewed from 2 barley malts and 1 wheat malt. Its blend of 3 hops offers it great balance between sweetness and bitterness, whilst also offering discreet citrus flavours. In 2014, it set up its head office in the historic centre of Liege, in an old Béguinage which is more than four centuries old. This new site allows it to receive visitors interested in tasting at the brewpub, and also offers visits to the production site and the chance to purchase a souvenir from the brewery's shop. BRASSERIE {C} aims to be a developer of recipes and brewing concepts. Since it was created, it has launched two new brands: Torpah, a concept for discovering hops based on three single hop beers – Torpah 30, 60 and 90 – each of which offers a different strength of bitterness, and Black {C}, a stout brewed in the tradition of beers with a high roasted malt content and aromas of coffee and chocolate and powerful bitterness.
